Packaging Materials
Sim Lanka manufactures/ imports and distributes packing materials such as Aluminum foils, wrapping papers, laminated papers, plastic containers, universal PVC containers etc.
Rigid packaging
Sim Lanka is specialised in the manufacture of HDPE/PP injection and blow-moulded components and thermoformed and vacuum-formed products, including dispenser cups for coffee, tea, and beverages, as well as trays for biscuits and cakes; with up to 5 or 6 colour printing options.
Flexible packaging
Sim Lanka offers versatile packaging solutions for the industry by supplying a diverse range of products for both general and specialised use. Our main product categories and applications include:
- High dielectric strength films with superior tensile strength for cable core wrapping (UL approved)
- Food-grade approved plain and printed aluminium foils for dairy, mineral water, fruit juice, medical, tea, coffee, milk powder packaging, etc.
- Laminated and printed films
- Poly-coated paper products.
Films
Sim Lanka offers a unique film with partial metallization, custom-designed for enhanced shelf appeal and product visibility while retaining barrier properties. Our special coating includes heat-sealable clear/metallized BOPP/PET films with holographic embossing, suitable for print lamination and overwrapping, providing an effective deterrent against counterfeiting. Available in narrow and wide web widths.
Slitters
Working with Print and Paper of India we specialise in standard and custom made slitters plastics (printed or unprinted), paper board (printed or unprinted). The slitters are available in narrow width and wider width. Slitters installed are in BOPP, Polyester manufacturing lines. Machines are supplied standard and also come equipped with auto tension controls, web guiding system,etc as required by customer specifications. Installed over 300 slitters in the Indian subcontinent.Sim Lanka designs electronic control cards and printed circuit boards as per customer requirements. We also supply semi and fully auto control panels for machines.
Sherman Treatments Unit
Represented in several countries across the globe ” SHERMAN FILM TREATMENT PLANTS'' are leaders in adhesion promotion. Ideally suited for wide & fast lines which are synonymous with today's flexible packaging & multi layered packaging materials. Sherman treaters can also rebuild or refurbish your existing lines to improve productivity and performance. Corona treatment stations for BOPP, BOPET and Cast films.As adhesion specialists Sherman also provides Gas flame treatment where Corona treatment does not meet the requirements.
